I’m sorry, but this is not good enough. Torbay Hospital is in a crisis and the Minister just refused to meet to discuss it.
The Health Minister has repeatedly refused to engage with Steve Darling MP or myself on this issue. In her response, she claims she met with Steve and the hospital received some funding – all true, but that was before the Tower Block was ruled unsafe.
Torbay Hospital could lose up to a quarter of beds in the hospital while repairs are undertaken, and yet the Health Minister refuses to even engage with the crisis.
The Minister was dismissive and frankly, I expected better of her and this government.
