Digital Connectivity survey

Connectivity for South Devon’s rural and remote communities is very high on my agenda. I understand how vital it is for work, education, healthcare, and staying in touch with family and friends. Over the past year, I’ve been championing this issue in Parliament, writing to ministers, and raising it time and time again. To get a clearer, more detailed picture, I’m asking constituents to complete a short Digital Connectivity survey. It will help me build the strongest case possible for improved services across South Devon.

Save Totnes Banking Services

I am deeply concerned about the closure of Lloyds Bank in Totnes next January. It is inconceivable that a thriving market town like Totnes should be left without local banking services. We urgently need a banking hub to continue offering these services after Lloyds closes. If you agree, make sure to sign the below petition.

Brixham Retail & Hospitality Roundtable

On Friday 17th October, between 8.30am and 10am, I’ll be hosting a retail and hospitality roundtable for Brixham businesses in Rockfish, Brixham. If you’re interested in attending and want to discuss the issues affecting you with your MP and other business leaders, make sure to sign up via the link below to secure your place.

Save our rural Post Offices

I'm deeply concerned about the closure of rural Post Offices. Churchstow, Dittisham, and Aveton Gifford all closed earlier this year. Despite repeated appeals for them to reconsider, neither Churchstow nor Aveton Gifford are planning to reopen soon, due to commercial issues.

Beyond just providing access to communication, banking, and other vital services, particularly for the elderly and those with limited connectivity, Post Offices are invaluable community hubs where people connect and find support.

The Government must protect them. The centralisation of Post Office services threatens the fabric of our rural communities. If you agree, please sign my petition demanding the Government steps up support for rural Post Offices.

Protect local healthcare in South Devon

While NHS Devon has scrapped its planned centralisation of emergency coronary care to Exeter, we must stay vigilant and continue fighting for our local healthcare services.

As the MP for South Devon, I expressed my strong opposition to this move at the highest level of NHS Devon. You can express your dissatisfaction too and join calls for better local healthcare by signing this petition.
