My meeting with Slapton resident James Morrison

I had an interesting chat with James Morrison earlier today. James lives in Slapton and has spent years exploring the options for sustainable solutions to stopping and reversing the manmade damage in Start Bay caused by the historic dredging of the Skerries Bank.

I am working hard behind the scenes talking with people who have expertise in coastal erosion, flooding and storm damage to inform my work, and my asks of government, as we seek to find a long-term solution to the erosion around Start Bay and the implications for local communities.
