Watch my question on coastal erosion in Start Bay

In the Chamber earlier today I raised the issue of coastal erosion with the Leader of the House, stressing the need for a coordinated, cross-departmental approach to support communities like Torcross that have suffered significant damage to homes, businesses and key infrastructure this winter.
Local government cannot be expected to bear the financial burden of repair alone, and a joined-up response from central government is vital to support communities facing the kind of disruption we have witnessed in Start Bay.
The Leader of the House offered a meeting with the relevant minister. I will be following this up and continuing to work on this behind the scenes, and will provide further updates when I have them.
