Watch my speech on supporting bereaved children

At a Westminster Hall debate today, I joined calls for bereavement lessons to be taught in schools.

The Children Bereavement Network estimates that more than 46,000 children in the UK experience the death of a parent every single year – that’s 127 every day!

Yet, these children are often forgotten about in terms of policy, support, and planning.

There are many organisations doing amazing work in this area, but there is a serious lack of government action and joined up thinking on how to support children at school, home, and wider society.
