Watch my speech on ending the Gaza conflict

The UN Commission for Human Rights called on the international community to prevent genocide against the Palestinian people.

This came amid increasing reports of grave violations committed by Israel against Palestinians in the aftermath of October 7th – and the recent designation by from the UN that Gaza is ‘unfit for human survival.’

In light of this, at a Westminster Hall debate, I asked if the Government was considering expanding its current partial suspension of arm sales to Israel.

The Hamas attack on October 7th shocked the world and must be condemned. However, the devastation in Gaza and across the Middle East has caused anguish around the world and has left many people incredibly distressed.

Only a sustained political and diplomatic solution will resolve this conflict and bring a cessation of violence.
