Watch my questions to the Children's Commissioner about school attendance

Today, on the Education Select Committee, I questioned the Children’s Commissioner about school attendance.

Since the pandemic, the number of children not attending school has shot up.

Far too many children are missing out because of a lack of system in place to support them.

While extra-funding is sorely needed, the Commissioner highlighted further steps that could be taken, including additional teacher training to support children with special educational needs.
