While the Government’s pursuit of growth is a noble one, I have massive concerns that this desire is trumping everything else, including the environment!

The rumoured expansion of Heathrow Airport is only adding to this.

Let me be clear: expanding airport capacity is not the right approach to boost the economy.

Not only is the evidence dubious as to whether it would lead to growth, but it completely flies in the face of our green commitments.

Instead, we should focus on investing in green industries such as renewables, railways, and better housing to create a new generation of green jobs.
