Watch my question on whether parliament will get a vote on the US/UK trade deal

When it comes to any trade deal – especially one with someone as unreliable as Donald Trump – the devil will be in the detail. But, despite this, the government has so far not published any assessments on how key British industries will be impacted by its deal.

The government must now publish these assessments along with the full details of the US/UK deal and give MPs a vote. It would show a complete disrespect to the public if this deal was waved through without giving parliament a say.

Today, I asked the Business Secretary if he would commit to giving parliament the chance to scrutinise the deal – you can hear his response below.
