Today, I asked the Schools Minister about the Government’s changes to Ofsted inspections.

While single-word judgements had to go, the widespread negative reaction to the new system suggests it isn’t fit for purpose yet.

I welcomed the start of a consultation period to iron out issues teachers have with the new system, and, referencing my conversations with South Devon heads, asked the Minister to address the ambiguity over how special educational needs will be measured.
