Watch my question calling for compensation for victims of Brixham's cryptosporidium outbreak

The Water (special measures) Bill had its second reading in Westminster this week.

It was shocking to hear MPs from across the country share their horror stories about the state of our water industry.

The last Government oversaw the breaking of our water industry. As a result, we’ve been left with higher bills, poorer services, and sewage being dumped into our rivers, lakes, and seas at such a rate that the UK environment watchdog said it broke the law.

I used the opportunity to talk about the awful cryptosporidium outbreak in Brixham and call for the Government to ensure that, depending on the Drinking Water Inspectorates report, proper compensation is issued to victims.
