Watch my question about letting unimpeded aid into Gaza

Weeks ago, the Prime Minister promised the UK would lead the rebuilding of Gaza, but it appears, once again, we are watching events unfold around us.

Despite the fragile ceasefire holding, not enough aid is getting into Gaza.

Just last week, the ICJ ordered Israel not to impede aid into Gaza, amid warnings that the dire situation on the ground has not changed.

Throughout this crisis, Ministers have repeatedly pledged to press Israel on aid restrictions, but this approach has delivered few results and all we hear is “aid is restricted” or “crossing points are closed.”

It is clear who is causing this obstruction, and the Government must call Israel out.

Today, I asked the Middle East Minister if he would do this and pressed him on his message to the people of Gaza who are hungry, thirsty, living in makeshift camps, and are in desperate need of humanitarian relief and medical assistance.
