Watch my question about introducing sanctions on Israel for its actions in Gaza

Today, the Foreign Secretary delivered another statement about the horrendous situation in Gaza, in which he said, “the situation on the ground is unimaginably bleak” with a “famine, which if unchecked, will spiral into widespread starvation.”

Given this, my question to him was simple, if the situation is as dire as rightly says it is, and indeed his statement came on the same day the world’s leading genocide scholars said Israel’s actions meet the legal definition of genocide, then why isn’t the Government doing everything it can to end the suffering.

It is so painfully obvious now that diplomacy isn’t working. Desperate Gazans are running out of the time, and the Government needs to take action that Israel will take notice of.
