Watch my contribution on promoting rural cycling paths

For rural kids, bikes mean freedom. We all know this and yet we have shockingly few cycle paths available.

We must make it easier to create paths alongside dangerous rural roads so kids and anyone else who wants to cycle has the freedom to travel independently.

To that end, I was pleased recently to see South West Water have agreed to put a cycle path through its new solar farm on the edge of Totnes.

At a recent Westminster Hall debate, I spoke about this proposal and gave a shout out to John Oliverio from Torbay, who does such amazing work promoting cycling for young people in our area.
