Proud to have co-signed this letter to the Health Minister regarding funding for Torbay Hospital.
As many of you will know, Torbay Hospital’s estate is in a very poor state, with 80% being deemed unfit for purpose.
But despite this, at the start of the year, the Government announced that much-needed repairs won’t begin until 2032 at the earliest.
While £7.3 million was recently allocated via the Estates Safety Fund, this won’t come close to dealing with the issues the Hospital faces.
It is vital Torbay receives the £183 million the Trust bid for, and I hope the Government will grant it.
