Devon County Council are preparing a bid for the government’s Structures Fund to help fund repairs to the A379 Slapton Line – and they need your help.

𝐓𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞, 𝐃𝐂𝐂 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝, 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝’𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞.

𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫.

Through the Structures Fund, the government provides grant funding to support the capital costs of repairing or replacing local highway structures. The deadline for local authorities to bid for it is this summer, with successful submissions announced in the autumn.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐂𝐂’𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝟑𝟕𝟗 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞.

We are working hard to cover all bases to secure a long-term, sustainable future for the A379 Slapton Line.
