In response to concerns raised by many of my constituents regarding the situation in Gaza, I wrote to the Prime Minister urging clarification on the definition of genocide and whether legal advice has been sought on this matter. This follows a recent report from Mohan Pieris, Chair of the UN Special Committee, who described a 'genocide unfolding before our eyes'. Given the gravity of the situation, I believe it is crucial that the Government provides a clear stance on this issue.
