Glad I was able to help out Friends of the Dart today collecting signatures to back their Bathing Water Status campaign for the river Dart. Everyone I approached was very keen to sign up. FOTD are working flat out to get the community behind their push for bathing water status - which will mean tougher restrictions on how often South West Water are allowed to use sewage overflows. As someone who was made ill by swimming in the Dart last year, I'm fully behind this campaign to make sure our water is fit to swim in.
Well done Riverford for a great local food festival - lovely to see so many people enjoying Longmarsh in the sunshine.
Also discovered a new drink - kefir water… full of good gut bacteria and perfect in this heat! (Forgot my water bottle so thanks Piqi Life for quenching my thirst.
