Objecting to Fastglobe plans

I've just objected to the planning application by Fastglobe for the old Dairy Crest site.

25 houses and 20 holiday chalets are not what Totnes needs or wants.

There is provision for 62 homes in the JLP for this site. I'd like to see 62 truly affordable homes built here, including small units like 1 and 2 bedroom flats. Even better, an agreement with South Hams that some of those homes are owned by SHDC and rented out as long-term, secure, social housing.

There is a desperate need for homes for smaller households and this location, right by the station, is perfect for younger working-age people who might commute by train.

There are three more days to comment on the application - the deadline is 17th November.
