New homes - but not what we need

Delivering letters in the stunning dawn light today. Making sure residents along the Brixham Road know about Torbay Council’s consultation on the ridiculous proposed road closure.

No developer should be allowed to close a main road for four months - this will have a huge effect on people’s lives and livelihoods.

Something the Secretary of State’s planning inspector should have been more concerned about before green lighting this development on appeal.

The Inglewood development will bring 473 new houses to the constituency - but are they the houses we need?

Will they do anything to answer the need for more affordable housing for local people in Brixham and Paignton?

Or will it just be yet another identikit development of new build houses, sold at a price way above anything that local people can afford, to provide maximum return to the developer who is only interested in profit?
